FEDERAL GOVERNMENT have FINALLY said WHY NAIRA KEEPS DEPRECIATING

Talking about the poor state of the country's economy the Federal Government has allegedly blamed the immediate past government in especially the depreciation in the Naira exchange rate, saying is the  consequence of the incomprehensible mismanagement of the past government rather than any so-called mismanagement by the Buhari Administration.

Lai Mohammed  minister of  information : chiemeziem.blogspot.com

”If there was still any honour left among thieves, there is no way the leaders of a party under whose watch the nation’s economy suffered a monumental mismanagement and the Central Bank was turned to the ATM or piggy bank of a few people will have the temerity to insult a government that is working hard to turn things around or the citizens who are bearing the brunt of such mismanagement,” the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said in a statement on Sunday.

”It is now clear to all Nigerians that if the PDP had won the last general elections, Nigeria’s economy would not have survived one more month, considering the battering it received under the immediate past Administration. It is therefore unconscionable that those who should show contrition and hunker down to avoid public opprobrium are the same ones pointing an accusing finger at the Buhari Administration,” he said.

Alhaji Mohammed described the comments credited to Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, that businesses may collapse in the next six months because the Buhari Administration has mismanaged the economy, as the clearest indication yet that the PDP and its leaders are still in denial about the massive body blows they inflicted on the Nigerian economy.

”Senator Ekweremadu complained about the depreciation of the Naira without telling Nigerians who ‘dollarized’ the Nigerian economy by bribing many individuals and groups with dollars during the last elections, thus inflicting a knock-out punch on the local currency. He also failed to tell Nigerians which government presided over the frenzied mop-up of dollars, either for ‘armsgate’ or for slush fund purposes, from the CBN to a point where it almost ran out of the hard currency,” he said

The Minister said even though the Buhari Administration met an economy that was in coma, it had refused to use that as an excuse for inaction, hence has been working hard on measures that will turn the economy around and greatly offer relief to Nigerians by lifting millions, not thousands, of people out of poverty through a massive social intervention policy.

”The outcome of the months of hard work will manifest soon in the 2016 national budget that will give succour to millions of Nigerians who are reeling from fallout of the solecism of the immediate past Administration that turned the country into a cash bazaar,” the Minister said.

He advised the leaders of the PDP and members of the immediate past administration who are involved in the emerging cases of looting binge to urgently return, to government coffers, the funds they have squirreled out of the commonwealth.

”They are lucky that Nigerians are not as incautious as they are, otherwise they would not be able to walk around freely, not to talk of having the effrontery to fire darts at the government that inherited their rot or the people who are suffering the consequences.

”They looted the billions of Naira that were allocated for the fight against insurgency, causing many innocent and patriotic soldiers to die needlessly, yet they are not remorseful. They looted the treasury to influence the last elections, doling out money as if it was going out of fashion, yet they continue to grandstand.

”In the latest revelation, a Minister under the immediate past dispensation admitted to sharing 600 million Naira to six Chairmen of the Contact and Mobilization Committee of the PDP for the last general elections, 300 million Naira to an account given by a former PDP chairman, 200 million Naira to a PDP governorship candidate and 100 million Naira to a former PDP governor. This is just one case out of many, yet these revelations are but a tip of the iceberg of what Nigerians will hear in the days ahead,” Alhaji Mohammed said.

The Minister assured that despite the mind-boggling revelations about looting and the mismanagement by self-styled economic wizards, the economy will bounce back under the watch of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is bringing probity and transparency back into governance.

Recall that Senator Ekwermadu on December 12, advised President Buhari and his economic managers to halt the downward slide of the Nigerian economy, warning that failure to act on time might lead to a revolution by Nigerians.

F.G TO INVESTIGATE MOUAU V.C OVER ALLEGED fraud AND MISMANAGEMENT.....

The attention of the Federal Government has been attracted into the allegations of fraud and mismanagement against the Vice Chancellor and management of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) Abia State and three others, including Universities of Nigeria, Calabar and Uyo.
 chiemeziem.blogspot.com
There has been a long drawn battle between the University management led by the VC, Professor Hilary Edeoga and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) which the Federal Government said has come to its notice. President Mohammdu Buhari and visitor to the university revealed this at the 7th Convocation ceremony through the Minister of State for Education, Professor Anthony Anwuka. “Government is aware of the misunderstanding between the university management and ASUU.

A ministerial committee has been set up to investigate the matter and submit its report within 10 days,” he said. The President, however, commended the on -going infrastructural development in the university, noting that public universities both federal and state were much better now “following the financial releases made to them in line with their Needs Assessment.” He observed that in line with the vision, MOUAU, named after the first premier of the former Eastern Region, Dr Michael Okpara has continued to grow in spite of logistic challenges.

Ever wondered what Jesus really looked like? An answer may have emerged on popularmechanics.com from an exciting new field of science “forensic anthropology”.

This follows a discovery from British scientists, assisted by Israeli archeologists, of what they believe is the most accurate image of the most famous face in human history.

While this field of science, “forensic anthropology” is usually used to solve crimes, Richard Neave, a medical artist retired from the University of Manchester in England, realized it also could shed light on the appearance of Jesus.

British scientists discovered the “real” face of Jesus
This is not Neave’s first discovery as he has ventured into controversial areas before. Over the past two decades, he had reconstructed dozens of famous faces, including Philip II of Macedonia, the father of Alexander the Great, and King Midas of Phrygia.

In order to create an accurate portrait of Jesus, Neave and his research team’s first step was to acquire skulls from near Jerusalem, the region where Jesus lived and preached.

With three well-preserved specimens from the time of Jesus in hand, Neave used computerized tomography to create X-ray “slices” of the skulls, thus revealing minute details about each one’s structure.

Special computer programmes then evaluated reams of information about known measurements of the thickness of soft tissue at key areas on human faces. This made it possible to re-create the muscles and skin overlying a representative Semite skull.

SEE WHAT HAPPENS AS PRESIDENT DECLAREs GAMBIA AN "ISLAMIST STATE"

The President of Gambia Yahya Jammeh who has ruled Gambia with iron fist since he seized power in the year 1994 after a successful military coup has gone ahead to declare the West African Country an " ISLAMIC STATE" also stressing that the christain minority would be respected and that women would not be held to a dress code.
“Gambia’s destiny is in the hands of the Almighty Allah. As from today, Gambia is an Islamic State. We will be an Islamic state that will respect the rights of the citizens”, he was quoted as saying on the presidential website, as he adress supporters at Brufut yesterday.
An impoverished former British colony nestled within Senegal, famed for its white-sand beaches, the Gambia has a population of nearly two million, 90 percent of whom are Muslim.
Of the remainder, eight percent are Christian and two percent are defined as having indigenous beliefs.
Jammeh, 50, a military officer and former wrestler from a rural background, has ruled the country with an iron fist since he seized power in a coup in 1994.
He cultivates the image of a practising Muslim, and is often seen holding a Koran or prayer beads, and of promoting an aura of mysticism.
Earlier this year, Human Rights Watch branded his regime one of the most repressive in the world, blaming paramilitaries and secret police for torture, disappearances and extrajudicial killings.
In 2013, Jammeh withdrew his country from the Commonwealth, saying it represented “an extension of colonialism”.

Title:My New Church

My New Church…Episode 1
Sometimes, whenever I lie down on my bed, what trails in my mind was what am I to do in order for her to see through my mind and know how I feel about her. I tried so hard even to extent of soliloquizing that I kept imagining that she always heard me speak even while I was alone in my room. I kept wondering could it be that she notice not my feelings towards her? Could it be that she also felt the same way towards me? , really don’t know but lets watch and see how this is being played. She is my best companion although in my thoughts.....

Anyways it all started on a bright Sunday morning, as I came for the morning service as usual, though I was not an active member of our church but I try so hard to come early because I love been punctual.
I saw this beautiful damsel staring at me, at first I thought it was because of my style of cloth  then I realized that I was not looking that SHARP cause my school was in an indefinite strike that was announced when we were already at home so most niggurs like me left a good number of outfits at school but all the same we got to look good, on a second thought “I was not looking bad either” so I thought maybe that’s the cause of the stare but I tell u it was not. What came to my mind was what could have been her reason for looking at me like that, not that she was sitting close to me but though were seated in the same row. Immediately I replied the gaze, I saw elegance and virtue in her eyes. There is this feelings that floats my body and I ask myself, is it really true feelings that am having towards her?, just like that? , Even me? Inside the church? What is d reason behind our eye contacts? I became suspicious but the magic was too much for an illusion, but then I decided not to look again but concentrate on the service….*easier said than done*
During the course of church service, my mind couldn’t rest, imagine me loosing concentration during church service for what I have not done before, well I prayed in my mind that let Gods will be done even at that, I still I managed to stay focused. My eye couldn’t get off her and I knew that’s same for her cause whenever I looked I caught her eyes. Even during d offertory, we kept the stare until the end of service.
I wanted to go and talked to her even if its hello/hi, immediately the service came to an end but I said no cause I was trying to turn a new live but this chocolate pretty little miss got me trapped and also I was still in d church premises, but I said t myself, well let me leave till d next Sunday service, if it eventually happens like that, then I will have no choice to myself. As I was still contemplating on that, she was gone, then I concluded within me with this Igbo proverbs
Anu gbachaa taa,echi bu ntaa
So I left for my house………

Lai Mohammed Speaks About IPOB and Appeals To Citizens To Help Fight Insurgency

The chiemeziem’s BlogSpot team reports that Lai Mohammed the minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Information and Culture has called for peace at the Peace Conversation with religious leaders organized by the National Orientation Agency on Wednesday, December 10, 2015 in Abuja. His live interview report goes thus:
                                             Lai Mohammed chiemeziem.blogspot.com

“You, our revered religious leaders, have a great role to play in this respect. Top on the list of these roles is the need to de-radicalize those who have been exposed to extremist and violent view of religion, especially in the north-east.
“It is important for you, our religious leaders, to highlight the pristine and unadulterated version of the two dominant religious faith, Christianity and Islam, to remind all the adherents of both faith that nowhere did any of them preach hatred and violence,”
The minister goes ahead to speak about the ongoing war with the Book-Haram sect, he urged Nigerians to help in the fight for terrorism by their cooperation as the government is determined to end insurgency.
"The military is doing their best to restore peace to the affected communities. What is missing, however, is the civilian component of the war in the form of support from all Nigerians for the military in their efforts to decimate the remnants of the insurgents.
“Our religious leaders have a great role to play in this respect. That is why we will be calling on them in the days ahead to be part of the integrated efforts to rally people of all faith and from all walks of life to support the war effort,” he added.
Meanwhile, the United Nigerian Chaplaincy has announced its capability of stopping the pro-Biafra protest in the southeast and any other violent protest taking place in Nigeria. The group goes ahead to say that they can achieve this by integrating various dominant religious groups in the country.

Your life in their hands – Anaesthetists in Owerri

By Dr. Femi Ogunyemi
This week Anaesthetists from all over Nigeria are gathered in Owerri for their annual conference. For a start the word ” anaesthesia ” itself is a mouthful, not only for patients, but for other doctors as well. What does it mean? In simplest terms, anaesthesia means……no sensation. This is not the same as
analgesia…which means “no pain”. During anaesthesia, all sensation, including pain, is (supposed to be) lost. History records that an early Anaesthetist, whilst giving a new gas for a dental extraction, ended up putting both the patient and the dentist to sleep. He then pulled out the tooth himself and quietly left the room, leaving the two people there to wake up and wonder what had happened.
Some go back to Biblical times to observe many times where a supposedly “deep sleep” was induced in certain people. You can even go back right to the beginning of creation, according to the Bible, where “Adam was put into a deep sleep and a rib taken to create Eve”.
What do they do?
In many parts of the developed world the role and importance of Anaesthetists has been long recognised and the specialty is highly respected. Developments in anaesthesia has facilitated the ingenuity and success of today’s highly complex surgical procedures.
Sensation, that is used to be rendered to zero using gases, can now be totally suppressed using intravenous methods alone. Nerves of the body can be located and injected with medications that block their activity and block pain. It is now even possible to visualise these nerves by
bouncing sound waves off them, thereby increasing accuracy and reducing complications. I owe my entire career to the great teachers I had at the University of Ibadan thirty years ago.
These were skilled and dedicated men and women who imbibed a clinical and professional dignity to a fledgling specialty which, at that time, commanded little accolades. In the technology of the developed world, it was a surprise to them in the UK that my ‘basic” Nigerian training could shine. What I find, see and experience on my return home now is a bit different.
The decay in health infrastructure has dealt Anaesthesia a devastating blow. Residency training as a whole is, according to the residents themselves, in disarray. I am befuddled to see a junior doctor, coming out of NYSC, being pushed into a career of (perceived) need, rather than one of personal choice. I see hitech anaesthesia machines, dispensing anaesthetic gases long been condemned in other countries, still being administered to Nigerians, because of cheap cost. All this has impacted on surgical services. It has affected morale and effectiveness of Anaesthetists. It has affected delivery of care to Nigerian patients.
This group of doctors meeting in Owerri, working silently, without many of the drugs and facilities I had abroad, without applause, deserve a little, just a little, more support from all stakeholders.
Perinatal and maternal mortality in Nigeria remains among the highest in the world. People die from complications of basic surgery; complications like bleeding and infection. If material and human resources were to be directed at our peri-operative services, Nigeria’s health indices will improve immediately and significantly.
The WHO published recommendations in 2009 to curb the rising incidence of death and mishaps in surgeries around the world. Over half of their ten suggestions is under the control of anaesthesia.“Anaesthetists have great expertise in peri-operative services…..ie before, during and after the actual operation.
Anaesthetists were the original, and still remain, the pioneers of Intensive Care. Over 75 percent of doctors who specialise in Pain Medicine in the USA, and nearly all of them in the UK, are Anaesthetists.
As the Anaesthetists gather this week in Owerri, they need to look inwards too. The NSA needs to, not only reevaluate the training of its residents and the retraining (CPD) of Consultants, they must also regulate and monitor chiemeziem

OPEC against cutting oil output to lift prices

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has decided against cutting its oil output to lift prices, its president and Nigerian oil minister Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu said following a meeting here Friday.
OPEC, whose members together pump out more than one third of world oil, is currently producing above its official target of 30 million barrels per day.
“Given the present position of the economy of countries that are purchasing (oil) and the worldwide economy, we will retain production at current levels,” said Kachikwu, who is minister of state for petroleum resources in Nigeria.
OPEC is currently pumping out around 32 million barrels of oil per day.
The cartel on Friday published no figures on output in its communique, as it awaits increased output from Iran after sanctions were lifted on the Islamic republic.
“We cannot put a number now because Iran is coming, we don’t know when Iran will come, and we will have to accommodate Iran one way or the other,” said OPEC Secretary General Abdullah el-Badri.
“We decided to postpone this decision to the next OPEC meeting (in June) until the picture will be more clearer for us to decide on a number,” he added.
Despite oil prices plunging by more than 60 percent in 18 months, OPEC kingpin Saudi Arabia and the cartel’s other Gulf state members are defying calls to reduce output — in a year-long strategy of attempting to preserve market share and fend off competition from non-OPEC and world leading producers Russia and the United States.
Saudi Arabia on Friday repeated the kingdom’s stance that it would be willing to cut as long as non-OPEC also reduces its output.
“We have said on more than one occasion that we are willing to cooperate with anyone that will help balance the market… with us,” Saudi oil minister Ali al-Naimi told reporters gathered at OPEC headquarters in Vienna.
OPEC’s poorer nations — notably Venezuela, Ecuador and Algeria — had led the calls for a cut to help boost prices and in turn their badly-hit revenues.
“Everyone is concerned about… the prices, no one is happy,” said Iraq’s oil minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi.
OPEC on Friday confirmed that Indonesia had returned to the cartel after a near seven-year absence, bringing the number of member countries to 13. chiemeziem

FINALLY:Courtois is fit and available for selection — Mourinho

Jose Mourinho says Thibaut Courtois is fit and available for selection tomorrow but John Terry, Ramires and Falcao remain out.
The manager had hoped to have a full squad at his disposal for the visit of Bournemouth but will be without that trio, though he delivered good news in Thibaut Courtois’ return to the squad. Mourinho could not yet confirm if the Belgian would start in goal tomorrow.
The Belgium international has not played for Chelsea since the end of August after undergoing knee surgery and has missed the majority of the club’s disastrous start to the season.

“Korede Bello, you are the positive representation of Nigerian youths and on this occasion, the Nigeria Police celebrates you.
“We believe Korede Bello’s exemplary behaviour and tenacity of purpose, like that of the Nigeria Police, will be the needed influence to change the wrong or misconceived habits of some of our youths.

Nigerian catfish pepper soup may harbour cancer, killer fats – experts

Catfish is one of the most popular and readily available fish in Nigeria. In fact, its delicacy – irresistible to many people – is very common at social gatherings.

It tastes great and is affordable when compared to other varieties of fresh fish in the market.

But do you know that the omega 6 fatty acids in catfish can increase your risk of getting blood clots, arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and some cancers?

Though doctors say fish is a better and healthier option than meat, they quickly add that not all types of fish are good for the heart.

Nutritionists say that catfish is loaded with bad fat and high cholesterol that encourage clotting of the blood, a condition whereby blood flow is impeded. This may lead to cardiac arrest, thrombosis and, in some cases, heart attacks.

A cardiologist, Dr. Jane Anisulowo, says that farm or home-grown catfish is the worst example in this regard, as it contains more fatty hormones than the ones harvested from natural water.

Anisulowo says, “Fish is better than meat, no doubt. It digests easily and it contains proteins. However, catfish is not really a good option, especially the ones they sell these days, which are cultivated with hormonal feeds that are filled with steroids and other fattening chemicals just to make them profitable. These chemicals are cancerous in nature.

“Also, they contain so much oil that you can almost taste it. Fish, generally, contains oil, but catfish has oil in its skin. That is what makes it so oily and unhealthy.

“It also contains a lot of poly unsaturated fat that does not only make you fat but also settles in the blood stream. That is very dangerous because when blood fails to get to an organ, it fails and suffers paralysis.”

A study conducted by the National Institute of Health in 2012, using over 1000 species of the fish in different water shows that catfish contains a high amount of unfavourable omega-6 fat that causes inflammation in the body.

According to the researchers, three-ounce portion of catfish contains the same amount of bad fats found in red meat.

This is not to say that one should give up eating the fish as catfish contains some nutrients such as Omega3 fatty acids that are good for the body.

Anisulowo says, “If you can get the one from the river, which is rare in most cities, then you may eat it twice a month. But if the only one you can get is the one that is being reared by farmers, you don’t have to eat at all, or just eat it when it is partially smoked. In that way, some of the fats would have been lost in the process. Better still, there are some other species of fish that are oily but they contain good fats and are more nutritious.”

Here are some other species that you can add to your diet:

Mackerel

They are popularly known as Titus fish. The oily meat found on mackerel is its main health benefit. The fish oil, which is also known as omega-3 fatty acid, can be so beneficial that it is used as a supplement.

It lowers triglycerides. High levels of triglycerides in the body have been linked to heart disease and stroke. The most common causes of a high triglyceride level are obesity and poorly maintained diabetes, mainly stemming from an inactive lifestyle.

Some researchers have found out that omega-3 fatty acid is even more effective in reducing heart attacks than some commonly-prescribed drugs.

Mackerel and other fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids are good for the blood. They help to boost blood circulation and lower blood pressure.

Tilapia

Tilapia is a high-quality fish. It has proteins and contains all the essential amino acids your body requires from food diet to help to build proteins. One portion of tilapia cooked using dry heat contains about 26 grammes of protein. The Institute of Medicine recommends that adult men consume at least 56 grammes of protein, adult women consume at least 46 grammes and pregnant and nursing women consume 71 grammes of protein each day. Eating tilapia can help you to achieve that.

It may help in weight control. Tilapia is naturally low in fat, and only contains about 128 calories in each portion. According to a study published in a 2006 edition of “The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation”, subjects who consumed eight grammes of tilapia each week showed an improved body weight.

WARNING: Nigeria U23 team should be cautious against Ageria

Samson Siasia has urged his Nigeria U23 side to be cautious against Algeria on Saturday on Friday to ensure they do not lose any further ground in Olympics 2016 qualifying.

The Dream Team have conceded four goals in two games and with four points they are in the mix of qualification and elimination from the 2015 African U23 Championship semi-final in Senegal and must not lose to the Fennec Foxes in their last group game.

Siasia told media:

“We did not play in the second half and we cannot continue like this, if we want to go to the Olympics.

“We have to be careful. We tend to lose concentration in the second half and have to fix it.

“It was the case in the first game against Mali and the same thing happened against Egypt. It is no longer funny.

“It will be a tough battle against Algeria, and we have to be careful about the North African sides, they attack left and right,” he concluded.

Reduce Your Luxury Not Minimum Wages, Fayose Tells Govs

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has distanced himself from calls made by some state governors to reduce the federal minimum wage of N18,000 of public servants or that there should be massive retrenchment in the public sector, Vanguard reports.

Governor Ayodele Fayose has urged the state governors to reduce the affluence they enjoy in office instead of reducing salaries of workers.
Governors had two weeks ago declared that they could no longer cope with the N18, 000 minimum wage. The pronouncement caused a stir as Nigerians kicked against it.

Fayose urged the state governors to reduce the affluence they enjoy in office instead of reducing salaries and sacking workers.

Fayose stated this in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, December 4, by Idowu Adelusi, the governor’s chief press secretary, during the Agenda for the Treasury Board meeting held as part of preparation of the state’s 2016 budget.

The Ekiti state governor said: “Today most newspapers carried the story about call by some state governors that the minimum wage of N18,000 be reduced or that there should be massive retrenchment of workers in the public service. They are on their own and I take exemption to that. The minimum wage is even not enough.

Reduction of wages or retrenchment of workers won’t happen in Ekiti State. Instead of those anti-labour and anti-people policies, the governors should cut down on their travels and tours and cut down minimum wives and children and their affluence. Let the governors cut their coats according to their sizes.”

In the same vein, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state has assured the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) that he will personally lead the protest against any governor that fails to pay the agreed minimum wage.

Speaking at the 6th quadrennial national delegates conference of Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) in Abuja, he said there was no justification for any governor not to pay the minimum wage

10 Questions to Ask in a New Relationship

The beginning of a relationship is a time of great excitement. you are on the verge of something wonderful and you cannot wait to be with your beloved. no matter how crazy you are about each other, it is best to bring a little practicality into the picture too, that's why am here to make sure you don't make the mistake of "leaping without looking  "so before you decide that you are ready to be known as a couple, here are TEN QUESTIONS you better thrash out with your partner...[.you can always comment or ask any question at all on chiemeziem.blogspot.com]

1.  WHAT ARE YOUR VALUES IN LIFE ?
By now you must have had a few engaging conversations with your partner. The main purpose of these talks is not merely to kill time before you two can get between the sheets but really to know how each of you thinks about life. If you have not yet had any meaningful exchanges, do so without delay. Inquiring about your partner’s values in life will give you a fair idea about the qualities that he/she holds dear since these not only define the person he/she is, but will to a large extent influence the choices he/she makes. For instance if your date is religious, it is likely he/she will want to celebrate holidays and religious occasions in the traditional manner. This could determine how and where you will be spending your holidays and if married, how your partner would like to raise the kids.

2.  TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY ..
Your partner may have told you on the first date that his/her family is down South or that they originally came from Scotland, but it is unlikely that you got to know more than that. However before you begin a new relationship, it is important that you get to know a little more about your partner’s  background and what home was like. The way a person is brought up goes on to exert a significant influence on his/her adult relationships. At the same time it is best to tread with caution – invite him to talk of his/her folks but don’t seem too insistent on knowing the details.

3.WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?  ....
Every person has a set of dreams and aspirations. These usually have to do with what he or she would like to achieve and where they see themselves after a certain number of years. Before entering a relationship, it is important that you sound out a partner on his/her goals since these may emerge as a significant factor in deciding your role in their life. If your partner is ambitious, he/she will probably not think twice before moving to a different city on account of a promotion. On the other hand if he/she holds professional ethics close to heart,  he/she might not make a huge amount of money in jobs where a bit of wheeling-dealing goes.

4.  HOW DO YOU MANAGE YOUR FINANCES?
Usually one can pick up valuable hints about a man or woman by observing how he/she spends money during the initial dates. However a clear discussion may be better if you and your partner are serious about each and especially if you are thinking of moving in together. This is because your partner’s spending habits will significantly impact the life you have together and influence financial decisions that you take in your relationship. Thus if you believe in the virtues of saving, you may be in for a rude surprise when after moving in you find out that your partner has a measly amount in his/her bank account. On the other hand if you prefer to live and spend for the moment and your partner is the thrifty sort, your relationship could be in for some rocky times.

5.WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT SEX ?.....
Very few will say that it is a bad idea, but the general intention is to get down to a healthy discussion about sexual likes and dislikes as well safe sex. Such cold verbalizing may seem to douse any fires of passion at the start of a relationship, but the maxim ‘better safe than sorry’ could not be truer on any other occasion. If your partner pushes for intimacy knowing that you are still not comfortable about it, this could be a warning sign. Even if you want to go to bed with him/her, see if your partner is willing to take resporesponsibility  for his/her  actions which essentially means practicing safe sex. Refusing to use a condom, lying about sexual health and pressurizing you to do things that are dangerous or uncomfortable could be red flags in a new relationship.

6. WHAT ABOUT YOUR EXES ?.....
While you may already have got a hint that your partner was into a serious relationship before or even know that he/she is divorced, before you start a relationship it is important that you get to know a little more about his/her past. While there is no need to subject your partner to an inquisition, if this thing is to go anywhere you are certainly within your rights to know the status of his/her previous relationships. Indeed if he/she has issues like alimony or child support, these matters could influence your future relationship.

7. WHAT ARE YOUR PET PEEVES ?.....
No matter how completely compatible two people are in a relationship, there are bound to some personal habits of one which drives the other crazy. Popularly termed pet peeves, these seem to pose no major danger to the relationship unlike infidelity, alcoholism or financial irresponsibility. And yet when the irritations caused by pet peeves build up over time, they can burst forth with frightening force and seriously damage a relationship. So instead of letting your relationship suffer from such ‘non-issues’, it is far better to set aside some time to discuss your mutual pet peeves with a partner.

8.  HOW DO I FEEL WHEN AM WITH HIM/HER ? .....
The success of a relationship does not only have to do with how your partner behaves. Before you decide to go ahead, answer honestly to how you feel about yourself when you are with your beloved. If you feel nervous about what he/she will so or do and anxious about how best to please him/her may be you take a step back and reconsider the relationship. A truly happy relationship instead will make you feel content, positive and hopeful when you are with your partner.

9.  WHERE IS THIS HEADING US ?
No couple can predict how things will turn out in a relationship. There are way too many variables, including a thing as notoriously unpredictable as the human heart. Still before you embark on a relationship, it is reasonable to ask your partner about his/her expectations from the relationship and how much is he/she willing to give to it. Some of the most tragic breakups happen not because one cheated on the other, but because both wanted different things from the relationship.

10. DO I FEEL THE MAGIC?
During the first few dates, partners are usually exploring what chances they really have with each other. You may think alike on religion, politics, money and don’t mind hanging out together. However if you don’t see the magic between you two even after having gone out three or four times, chances are that you are not yet ready for a relationship. On the other hand if you cannot wait to see each other again and your date is one exhilarating evening after another, it is likely that you have met a special someone and are ready to move further.

MAN UNITED PLAYERS REACT TO VAN GAAL's supper club approach

Manchester United players are said to be unhappy with the pre-match routine of Louis van Gaal, which is being described as a “supper club” and lacking in fun, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims the United squad has strict arrangements the night prior to a game, lacking the freedom they experienced under previous managers.

likes to replicate for a

The Mail also states that the players endure multiple “tedious meetings”, then eat cereal and toast at 10pm, before going to bed at 10:30pm.

Manchester United have a possession average of 56% in the league this season.
This is now said to be making a major strain on the players’ morale, per the report, as the Dutch coach likes to rigorously enforce his philosophy and repeat training drills.

The Mail were told by a source that the squad is not enjoying the mood before matchday: “There’s no fun, no banter – just lots of meetings.

“The body language of the players isn’t right, and there’s no expression when they go out to play.”

This could go some way to explaining United’s flat performances as of late, where they have won just two of their last five Premier League games.

United have completed the most passes in the Premier League this season.
United have scored only nine goals at home this season – a tally bettered by nine Premier League clubs.

A mere 48 chances have been manufactured during their six home fixtures, which is poorer than every top flight team except Stoke City (42).

The Red Devils are still third in the top flight though and face West Ham at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester United ‘don’t like draws’ says hungry Juan Mata

Juan Mata expects Manchester United to rediscover the winning formula as they aim to step up their Premier League title challenge against West Ham United on Saturday.
Louis van Gaal’s side have lost just one of their last 15 games and could return to the top of the table if they beat West Ham at Old Trafford and other results go their way.

Yet the perception remains that all is not entirely well at United, with their recent run containing too few victories, while entertaining play has been in short supply.

Van Gaal’s methods have been called into question by pundits, supporters and, if various media reports are accurate, some players.

The United manager remains a firm believer in his footballing “philosophy” and the defensive improvements made by the Dutchman have given his club the meanest defence in the league with just 10 goals conceded.

Only one of those has come at Old Trafford and United will be expected to extend their unbeaten home run against a faltering West Ham team.

But Spanish midfielder Mata knows Van Gaal’s men need to capitalise on a promising run of league fixtures before Christmas, which also includes games against strugglers Bournemouth and Norwich City, and get out of the habit of drawing games following six draws in their last nine games.

“The last two draws haven’t been good for us,” Mata said.

“We don’t like draws and we want to go back to the victories. They (West Ham) have a very good manager and some of their players are very talented, but our aim is to get the three points.

United were held to a draw by Leicester City last weekend and before that could only draw 0-0 with PSV Eindhoven, a result which means they must now win away to Wolfsburg in the Champions League next Tuesday to progress to the last 16.

“It’s not an easy task but we are confident that we can make it to the next stage. The Champions League is a very important competition for us and we want to remain in it,” Mata said.

“But the next game is the most important one right now against West Ham. They have had a good start this season and have won more games away than at home. I hope we can get a win, which would be really important.”

Marouane Fellaini may earn a recall to bolster United’s attacking options after scoring for the club’s Under 21 side this week, but Van Gaal will be without defender Marcos Rojo, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in training.

West Ham’s season has stalled after a run that has brought just two points from a possible 12 and seen the club drop to eighth place.

Last Sunday’s home draw with West Bromwich Albion was frustrating and came at the cost of a thigh injury to striker Diafra Sakho, who could now be out for up to two months.

With Dimitri Payet, the club’s outstanding player during the opening weeks of the season, also out with a long-term injury and Enner Valencia not yet ready to return up front after an ankle problem, Slaven Bilic’s squad is being stretched.

“In terms of the quantity of injuries we are not bad, but unfortunately those three injuries have happened to our key players, especially on the offensive side of our game. Payet, Sakho, Valencia, it’s a big blow to us,” Bilic said.

Bilic will choose between Andy Carroll, Nikica Jelavic and Michail Antonio to fill his forward positions and is confident Carroll is nearing a return to his best after a long lay-off.
